Lea and Ryan

Check out Lea and Ryan's wedding page!  They have posted some pictures from their engagement shoot.  Look in the Photo Galleries link.  I promise, it will, as Lea said, "make you feel romantical."

These are two utterly amazing and talented people.  I'm so excited for the wedding in August.

Duck Park

Tonight after dinner, while I continued to paint at the house, Luke took the boys out.  Their destination was what Levi refers to as the "Duck Park".  He chose this name for fairly obvious reasons (though a more complete name would be "Duck and Goose and Their Resulting Poo Park"  His way is more succinct.). They had fun with scooter riding, stroller pushing, duck feeding, and sliding.

"Uh....Daddy?  I took my shoe off and I lost track of it.  I'm concerned."

Action shot!  See the piece of bread in the upper righthand corner of the picture?  The ducks didn't mind that it was stale 'Double Fiber' whole wheat.  I suppose if you're willing to eat something that's floating in nasty pond water, freshness is not utmost in your mind.

He's happy spring is here.

Sunday

We went to "Crackle Barrel" for brunch after church.  Milo loved the pancakes.

He put the straw in his mouth like this and declared, "I'm an elephant!"  Apparently those are his tusks- so creative.

I've been working on painting the downstairs.  We chose a blue-gray color called "porpoise."  Levi has been begging to help me paint and today I finally let him.

We took this one by ourselves.

He worked very hard.
Luke laid down new flooring in the kitchen this week.  It looks great.  I'll take a picture to share after we get the trim put back up.

Soccer Saturday

The soccer game this morning went well.  Luke especially had a good game and the Hawks won.  The kiddos had fun.  Milo really wants to be a big kid, too.

Grandpa Dickson has been on our mind this week as we remembered his birthday yesterday.  Here he is in 1960 all dressed and ready to go square dancing with Grandma.

Happy St. Pat's Day Haircuts

Nana and Papa treated the kids to haircuts and lunch out.  Thanks!!

The 'before' picture.  These two are mesmerized by the screen playing 'Dora the Explorer'

I'm a big boy!

Just take a little off the sides and leave the top long.

Ruby got a sassy bob with a green braid.

Ben held very still.

Green hair for St. Pat's day!

Oh, this makes me laugh.  Levi was completely distracted by his 'poconut' lollipop.
They spent St. Pat's Day 2009 together as well.  Look how they've grown!

These photos were taken of Milo last St. Pat's Day.

One Year Old Stats

Milo had his one year check up this morning.  He's doing great and weathered the blood draw and vaccinations like a champ.  He weighs 24# 13.5oz (80%) and is now 31 inches long (81%).

He's babbling and pointing, loves peek-a-boo and throwing balls.  He's cruising around furniture and has been imitating us- putting the phone to his ear, throwing things into the trash can, and trying to put hats on his head.  He loves to watch people, especially little kids and studies things and situations with lots of concentration and curiosity.  He's a sweet boy who is very determined and can be quite serious.  We're enjoying him immensely.  It's amazing to think of all that he's grown into in just a year's time.

Levi's one year old stats: 32.5 inches long and 24# 3.5oz.

Happy Birthday, Milo!

Oh, how I love this little boy.  Can you believe it's been a year?  Here are lots of pictures from his birthday party.  We held it at the hotel on the Plaza where Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa were staying.  All of his grandparents and all of this great grandparents along with aunts, an uncle, and cousins were there.
Wearing silly party hats can be serious business.
Alison's birthday is next!
Sharing a chair is much more fun than sitting alone.
Nana and Papa brought crafts for the kids to work on.
This is her favorite color.  Even when she is not around, if Levi sees any item that is purple he says, "Is that Ruby's?"
Wonderful Grandma and Wonderful Neice.
We missed seeing Grandma and Grandpa at Christmas.  It was so nice that they came out for the weekend.
Party Games: under the 'parachute'
On top of the parachute.
Fishing derby.
All kinds of cute.
Choo choo line.
Symphony is getting so big.
Dancing!
This is one lovely bunch of ladies.
Yesterday was Grandma's birthday.  We got to celebrate both.  Happy Birthday!
Very distinguished looking.
"Now that I'm one I can get into all kinds of new trouble."
Corrine came, too.  Yay!
He and Alison really enjoy each other.  It's very sweet.
These two can sure be a handful (as to which pair I'm referring to, well, I'll let you be the judge)
I was flattered today when Levi grabbed my arm and asked to 'play monkey hanging like Uncle Joel does.'  I had to explain that his mama is not as strong as Uncle Joel.
There were lots of special gifts.  Here is Milo checking out the Thomas riding toy from Gran and Grandpa.
stripping down and getting ready to dig into cake
Yum.
Yummmm.
ooh yummminesss
mmph mmphmmmm yummmmm.  More please.
Mom D. posted the pictures she took at the party on her shutterfly site.  Thanks!
