Projects

I really enjoy watching the boys create.
This is a "race sled"
Race sledding is a fierce sport.
Milo spent an hour creating a special vehicle.
It has guns, telescopes, lights, and extraneous wheels.  Awesome!

More Vacay Photos

How cute is this bebe?!?
I bought him this shirt while he was in utero. It's so fun to see him wearing it.
Posing with great-Grandma and great-Grandpa.
On Saturday, Uncle Don and Aunt Renee hosted the birthday party for Grandpa.  They made fried grouper and it was delicious.
Selfies with my Mom.
There was cake.
"Uncle Luke, help me!  Auntie won't stop kissing me."
He is gnawing on his toes.
I told you there were many kisses.
Kiki is so good with babies.
Peek-a-boo.
Grandpa planned a campfire for the kids, complete with s'mores.
Thank-you to these two for a great trip.
Sleepy boys.
This was my rocking horse when I was little!  Grandpa restored it.  It was fun to see Milo enjoying it, too.

Disney

While in Florida last week, Nana and Papa took us to Magic Kingdom for one day. Fun!

"What is this place, Auntie??"
I sat this ride out.  It spun really fast.
Milo rode with Papa and was thrilled by it.
While the big kids rode race cars I got to sit with Roebin.
I rode this one with my Mom and we both squealed the whole time.
Waiting to get on Dumbo.
The boys got such a kick out of the baby.
Even a smear on my camera lens can't block his cuteness.  He has recently discovered his tongue.
Getting ready to climb on a train.
"Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters..."
They had so much fun!
Love them.  Getting ready to head out of the park.
These two are so great.

Confetti

Levi recruited Milo to help him make confetti. They cut and cut and cut.
Then it was time to celebrate!
So worth it.

Alert the Tooth Fairy

Last week at school, Levi lost his first tooth. He was so excited. I felt ridiculously proud about the whole thing. I remember so clearly feeling exactly the same way when I discovered his first tooth pushing through his gum as a baby.

He was excited about getting a surprise that night. After Levi fell asleep, Lucas retrieved the tooth from under his pillow and left a dollar and a pack of gum in its place. At 3 a.m. Levi appeared next to our bedside and woke us up saying, "Where did my tooth go? You didn't throw it out did you? I want to keep it!"

Jack-O-Lantern

The boys and I tackled the jack-o-lantern carving on our own this year as Lucas was held up at work on Halloween. Their favorite part was definitely all the ooey-gooey insides.

If you know me, you know my knife skills are legendary. Legendarily bad, that is. I got such a kick out of the amazing jack-o-lanterns people were showing off on facebook.   Let's just say they stood in stark contrast to my pumpkin art.

This is what we came up with:

It looks like a fourth grader did it! (No offense meant to fourth graders out there...)

The rest of our Halloween pictures are here.

Happy 6th Birthday, Levi!

We hold November 5th as a very special day. Six years ago Levi came into the world and everything changed.

This kid is a delight. I so enjoy watching him create.  Here a milk jug, ladle, and fishing floats become a boat.
This is a snowboard he created for another stuffed animal.
He is also quite adept at fort creation.
And now he is reading!
This is his handiwork- in the most literal sense of the word.
We had a birthday dinner at the T-Rex Café.
I had never before dined among dinosaurs and it was quite thrilling.
Levi has already stated that he wants to come back for his next birthday.
He was thrilled with his day and loved all the calls.  Thanks!
