Kindergarten Fun Run

After Levi's concert, he participated in the school fun run.

It's important to warm up before undertaking a strenuous race.

Milo was very happy to take part.
They are starting to get pretty good at push-ups.
The reason they are getting good is that I make them do 5 push-ups anytime they forget to flush or wash.
Celebrating with popsicles afterward.
Here are a few of Levi's buddies:

And some of his friends-who-are-girls.
And a few more buddies.  He had some really great kids in his class.  I'm so happy about the new friendships he made.

Kindergarten Concert

We really enjoyed Levi's end-of-year kindergarten concert last month. He had been practicing his songs as well as his speaking part. There was choreography and lots of cuteness.

The favorite line of all the little boys was in the pirate song when they got to sing, "my booty."

Milo always enjoys our visits to the school.

Kindergarten Open House

Last week the whole family went to Levi's school for his open house.

Levi and his teacher, Ms. Pappas.

Pointing out his '100th Day of School Picture.'

The kindergartner and the kindergartner-wanna-be.

He showed us the library and pointed out this particular shelf.  It has books on outer space.

I absolutely loved watching him show us around.  He's had a great school year.

We told him that he was our leader for the evening.  He sped around the school, "Here's the art room, here's the library, here's the gym..."  Our tour was over QUICKLY.
Levi's heart says, "I love my family because they are nice." I saw Henry, Suhayl, and Janelle's hearts all said the same thing.

Of course the whole class room is completely charming.

We'll be walking over this door mat many, many times in the coming years.

Pilgrims and Indians

Last month, Milo and I got to attend Levi's kindergarten Thanksgiving performance. It was adorable to the utmost.
There were cookies.
I think Milo may have a slightly skewed view as to what kindergarten is like.  His only exposure to the classroom has been the Halloween party and now this.  I'm guessing that in his mind, SCHOOL = SUGAR.

Kindergaren Halloween

Our Halloween was a fun and full day. It was raining as we dropped Levi off at school. Milo and I parked the car and then made our way back to the school gym to wait for the costume parade.
We were excited to see 'our' Batman.
He was the cutest of the bunch, in my opinion.

We returned an hour later for the class party.  I am the lead room parent and was thus in charge.  I feel like they should have asked to see credentials or something before giving me that responsibility.
It was crazy and boisterous and fun.  The kids were sweet and absolutely thrilled with the party.  I really enjoyed getting to meet Levi's classmates.

Scholars

As it turns out, kindergartners have homework assignments.
So far it's been handwriting practice sheets.
Milo, of course, wanted homework of his own.  He does quite well with it!

First Day of Kindergarten

Levi had his first day of kindergarten today. He reported that it 'was SO fun!'

Remember these pictures from last year?
Also, visit here to read me write as if I am the first teary Mama ever to send her beloved child off to kindergarten.
