Hard Worker

Oh, how this kiddo loves to get down to work. He was so adorably enthusiastic about helping his Daddy this weekend.  I tried to get some pictures of his cute and smudged face but he did not want to stop digging.  I did finally get his attention and the following shots:

Saturday

Saturday we went out for brunch. Levi put cream in my coffee and stirred it for me, all with much concentration.

Milo is laughing because he also opened one of the creamers and spilled it all over.

Wiping his mess:

Next was a stop at the garden center.  They have several outdoor play sets.  The kids also enjoy all the fountains and the model train that runs inside.

Cousins

Our adorable nephew, Kosse was born in November, just like Levi was.  Watching Kosse grow through his first year has really brought back a lot of memories for me as he is hitting his milestones at the same time of year as Levi did.

It strikes me even when I think about less momentous things like the fact that they both attended their first Dickson Family Reunion at 9 months old.  I took this picture of Levi on top of the suitcase after we returned home from reunion in August, 2008

Check out these pictures Corrine took of Kosse after coming home from reunion just a couple of weeks ago.

Family Time

A couple of weeks ago my mother-in-law's side of the family all gathered for a little reunion. Luke and I were very happy to host everybody for lunch on Saturday. We had a photographer come out for a little bit.

It was approximately 300 degrees that day but everyone gamely gathered in our sun-baked yard to take some pictures.  Here are some of the group shots.
Everybody!

I'll post some of the candids tomorrow.

Vacation- Friday

Well, it's taken me awhile but I'm finally to the end of our vacation photos. Here are a few from the end of our trip.

Milo enjoying s'mores made at the outdoor fireplace by the pool.

gooey!

Ruby had to miss the Plimoth Plantation trip but of course Nana and Papa brought her back a present.
.

Oh, how this picture makes me laugh.  It's just utterly typical of this crew.  Ben making a crazy face.  Milo, pantsless.  Levi is in his pjs doing target practice.
So sweet:

Bob and the kiddos:

Ruby is using the camera on our LeapPad Explorer.  She set up a photography studio and had us all pose.

Unfortunately, Uncle Chuck couldn't be with us this trip.

Our boys at the Providence airport.  They look so cute striding along pulling their roller bags.

This made us laugh.  Inexplicably, Levi started to earnestly clean the seats with a wet wipe.  He really put a lot of effort into it.

Milo joined in, of course.  If only I could get them to clean with such zeal at home.

When we stood up to wait in line for boarding a wrestling match broke out.

Knowing they would be confined to their seats for a long trip, we let them roll around all they wanted.

Goodbye, Providence!

Vacation- Thursday Continued

Here are a few more pictures (out of order) from our visit to Plymouth.
Nana and two little boys scarfing down some ice cream.
Here they are with Auntie Lea obtaining said ice-cream.

The sign says it all.  Also, isn't my sister the cutest?

Practicing their sailing skills.

Nana agrees that walking along holding Milo's hand is the sweetest.

Uncle Joel holding the boys up for a look out the window in the captain's quarters on the Mayflower II.

Aunt Kathy showing the boys how a quill pen works.

Yay.  We love each other.  We also love vacation.

a tiny panoramic view of the harbor.

Fast asleep on the ride back.
