Turtle

These pictures are totally self explanatory...ok, not really.
Levi asked me for one of Luke's t-shirts. Then, Milo asked me for one of Luke's t-shirts.   They explained that they wanted to be turtles.
They pulled themselves into the t-shirt 'shells' and slowly crawled around the great room. The umbrellas are their turtle habitat.

Planting the Flag

Levi created a flag out of cardboard and a large dowel rod.
They had trouble getting it to stand up straight so they went at the problem with painters tape.
Thankfully the neighbors find it charming.

Watercolors

I love the things the boys create.

Sunday

In the wee hours on Sunday, Lucas got a call from work and ended up going in and working all night. As I was waking up that morning, he came home. We tucked him into bed and the boys and I went to church.

Afterwards, two families come over for brunch. The boys were waiting out front for our friends when a rain storm passed by. They refused to leave their post, insisting on hunkering down under umbrellas.

After brunch, the guys caught some football.
Milo's eyes started drooping but he was quite insistent that he was not sleepy.
Later more fun with Daddy.  Levi is practicing sorting and identifying upper and lower case letters and their sounds.  Milo is learning, too.
Hearing Milo say, "Woe-were tace" (Lower case) is so cute.

Mish Mash

Last weekend we had friends over for dinner.  It was tons of fun.
My little artist brought in his drawing pad while I was working in my bedroom.  We introverts love to work in tandem.
Lucas and his Dad were working on doors this Saturday.  Here he is spending his break time fixing a toy for the boys.
Craft time.
Messy crafts are the best.
Next up, decorating a box to look like a race car.
Zoom Zoom.
Remote control cars with Ben.
Zoom-Zoom, Crash-Crash.
Milo found a golf marker and stuck it to his chest.  I think he was making it into a medallion necklace.
Who knew he had a preference for flashy jewelry.
