Preparations

Amber got immunized today. It was one more item to check off of the ‘To-do before we leave for South Africa” list. Other completed tasks: line up passports and plane tickets; research baggage weight limits; and figure out how to make the 16 hour plane ride bearable. We don’t leave until February 3rd, but still have lots to do.

We’re so excited for this trip. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to since the Johnsons left a year ago. We’ll be staying with them in Johannesburg. Among other things, the trip itinerary includes flying to Cape Town for a couple of days, touring some game parks, and spending time at the Tsholofelo Baby Home. The best part, though, will be getting to be with Tricia, Jeremy, and Jake.
