Celebration

We got to help Aundrea celebrate her birthday this weekend. She is 25 now and a whole new exciting year is waiting ahead. Thanks for letting us be a part of the celebration.

Cute little baby

Last night, we got to meet our new second cousin, Jerrika Leigh. She is definitely a cutie pie. It looks like she will be tall and lanky like her daddy. It was fun evening spent with Grandma Dickson, Aundrea & Chuck, and the somewhat tired but extremely proud new parents, Sheralyn and Nathan.

Preparations

Amber got immunized today. It was one more item to check off of the ‘To-do before we leave for South Africa” list. Other completed tasks: line up passports and plane tickets; research baggage weight limits; and figure out how to make the 16 hour plane ride bearable. We don’t leave until February 3rd, but still have lots to do.

We’re so excited for this trip. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to since the Johnsons left a year ago. We’ll be staying with them in Johannesburg. Among other things, the trip itinerary includes flying to Cape Town for a couple of days, touring some game parks, and spending time at the Tsholofelo Baby Home. The best part, though, will be getting to be with Tricia, Jeremy, and Jake.

2007, here we come.

We hope you had a great time ringing in the New Year. Lucas and I were in Providence, Rhode Island visiting the Corzine side of the family. The highlight of our time together was being with Ruby. She was definitely the star of the show.
