Kosse's Birthday

Our nephew, Kosse, turned one year old and we got to help him celebrate today.

Happy Anniversary!

Today, Lucas and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary.  Thanks to Lynn and Marji for watching the boys so we could spend the day together browsing, shopping, and eating our way through Weston, Missouri.  My heart is bursting full of gratefulness to be married to such an amazing man.  I'm so happy in our life together.

Levi had his 5 year old well check up this week.  His stats: 46" tall (95 percentile) and 44.9 pounds (77 percentile).  He's doing great and is healthy and strong.  The sad part of the visit was the four vaccinations he had to receive.  It was more than just him shedding a few tears!

Birthday Boy

Levi had preschool on his birthday yesterday and was very excited to get to wear a crown and bring in special treats for his classmates.

Here he is with Mrs. Morris, his lovely teacher.

I took this at home later. If you can't make it out, that's him riding his new two-wheel scooter and helmet, carrying camping supplies from Gran and Grandpa hooked to his belt-loop and his new sleeping bag from Nana and Papa in his backpack.

Levi Turns 5!

The local family members came over on Sunday night to celebrate Levi's birthday. He was so excited for the party and had a great time.

We played some party games after dinner  This one involved a stack of cotton balls and some vaseline.  I put a little schmear of the vaseline on the kids' noses and without using their hands they had to transport their cotton balls one by one to the middle of the table.

We also did a 'mummy-wrap' game with toliet paper.

Next year you can participate in the games, too, Mia!

Happy Birthday, dear Levi.

After cake was present time.  Ruby is showing him the card she made.

He got so many thoughtful cards and presents.  He is a very blessed little boy to have so many people to love on him.

Parcel Post

Levi was very excited to receive a package in the mail last week from Auntie Corrine, Ky, and Kosse. He asked to open it right then and since Luke and I are softies we let him.

So Long, Farewell.

It's that time of the year: the 'farm park' is now closed for the winter. We visited earlier in the week and had a really nice morning.

"Goodbye for now, little goats.  Here's a nugget of food to remember us by."

"Goodbye for now lovely landscaping."

Levi called me over and said, "Mama!  Take a picture of this pretty flower"

Thank you, nice stranger, for taking our picture.

Maybe next year Milo will be able to peddle the tractors himself.
