Fun Weekend

Here, Levi and Ruby are modeling the Zumi's t-shirts that their Auntie Lea sent them. Zumi's is the coffee shop where she is a barista.
This weekend we celebrated Levi's Grandpa's birthday.
On Friday, Nana and I took Ruby and Levi to the Deanna Rose Farmstead. Ruby talked me into taking her down on the big slide.

Levi liked being pushed around to see all the animals.
His favorite was swinging, though.
Nana took Ruby to feed the baby goats. Sadly, they were victims of a goat attack. Those baby goats sure love their bottles.

Here Ruby is feeding them from behind the fence. She wasn't so sure about those goats...

The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. Thanks Nana!

Family Pics

Happy Birthday to my Tricia!

Happy birthday, Tricia. I hope you have a great day. I wish I could be there to help you celebrate. We could wear matching dresses and it would be oh so fun. Or maybe matching hats instead?
And, before I sign off- I thought I'd leave you with this photo. My apologies to non-Tricia blog readers (all 4 of you), the explanation to this picture is long and would not be funny unless you were a giggly 16-year-old there that night:

p.s. do you remember trying to climb the stairs shortly after this was taken??

Happy News!

What a happy day! Our family is so blessed. Today Kelly delivered her baby. Since her ultrasound months ago, we had been expecting a little baby girl. Today however, when the baby was born, we found that the niece we were expecting was actually a nephew! He does not have a name yet. Kelly and baby are doing well.

Kissy Kissy

Since Levi gets kissed a thousand times a day I guess it isn't surprising that he started returning them pretty early on. Up until recently those kisses have consisted of him pressing his mouth up against our faces. Lately, though, he has really established his own, umm...what shall we call it- style? technique? His purposefully approaches our face with a wide open mouth. He latches on and adds in a few licks and most of the time he tries to gnaw a little. Sometimes there is even suction. He looks so pleased with himself when he's finished. It's a kiss only a parent could love.

a few of levi's favorite things...

1. Being read to- and pointing at the pictures.
2. Having fun in the mirror
3. Climbing up on everything and everyone
4, Wrestling with Daddy
4. Crinkling paper
5. Fun with Food!

Grandbaby

Levi was thrilled to have been able to visit both sets of grandparents within a week's time. He also got to spend time with his Auntie Lea during our visit to Providence.
(Have you ever seen two prouder grandmothers?)
